John "Johnny" Francis Morton, 81, of Cumming, GA, went to be with his heavenly Father, May 13, 2013.
Johnny lived most of his life in Bristol, TN, where he was a long-time member of Central Christian Church.
A graduate of East Tennessee State College, he was owner of Morton's Grocery and retired from Tenneva Foods and was a United State Navy veteran.
Survivors include:
His Wife – Betty Spradlyn Morton
Children – Susan Leonard, John W. Morton and Sarah LaPlaca
Grandchildren – Corey Leonard, J.R. Morton, Daniel Morton, and Christina LaPlaca
Sons-in-law: Mark Leonard and Chris LaPlaca
Daughter-in-law: Donna Morton
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at 4 pm at Central Christian Church, 424 Melrose St, Bristol, TN with Pastor Mark Overton and Dr. Ross Dampier officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 2-3:45 pm prior to the service.
Interment will be held on Monday May 20 at 10 am at Mountain Home National Cemetery in Johnson City, TN. Military Honors will be presented by the Bristol VFW Honor Guard.
Arrangements have been made with Weaver Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
