Richard S. Elam was born Sept. 13, 1939 in Morris, he was a son of Elbert and Alverne (Colwell) Elam. All his life was spent in the Morris area except for 11 years when he lived in Winlock, Washington. He was a member of the Winlock Methodist Church.
Surviving are his parents; two brothers, Robert of Morris and Paul of Castle Rock, Washington; six sisters, Mrs. Ferd (Myrtle) Rudow, Mrs. John (Lois) Snyder, both of Morris, Mrs. John (Mary) Wheeler of Centralia, Washington, Mrs. Ronald (Barbara) Crandall of Vader, Washington, Mrs. Donald (Rita) Wright of Milwaukee, Oregon, and Mrs. John (Ardith) McKibben of Eleroy, IL.
He was preceded in death by one brother in 1943.
