A telephone message was received Wednesday from the Children's Hospital in St. Louis that little Betty Jean Daniels had pneumonia. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Daniels, left at once for her bedside. Doctors, nurses, and parents fought valiantly, but lost in the battle with the grim reaper, death, and Betty Jean passed away Saturday morning. The body was shipped to Rolla and was brought to the family home Sunday morning. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon by Rev. E.T. Sechler and the body was followed to its last resting place by many relatives and friends. She leaves to mourn their loss, father, mother, and two little brothers, but their loss is Heaven's gain. Jesus loved the little children when He was on earth and He will keep our little Betty Jean safe until we join her in the Glory Land. Dear parents, grieve not for your darling, her sufferings are o'er. Many friends extend sincerest sympathy in the loss of this dear baby girl.
