Doris was born June 29, 1938 in Mena, Arkansas to William "Lewis" and Mary Lee (Burnett) Faulkner. She passed away May 6, 2013 in Collinsville, Oklahoma at the age of 74.

Doris married her sweetheart on March 2, 1957 in Mena, Arkansas. She was retired after many years as a co-owner of Abbott's Sak-N-Pak. She was a long time member of the Saint Henry's Catholic Parish. Doris loved watching her grandkids play sports and in the band. She also enjoyed quilting, painting, traveling, working in the garden, and going fishing and camping. She also enjoyed going to the Turkey Track Bluegrass Festival.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years; five children and spouses; thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four sisters; two brothers; one aunt; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Mary Faulkner.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations in Doris' honor be made to the Little Light House of Tulsa or the American Cancer Society.

Funeral Mass services for Doris Ann (Faulkner) Abbott, of Collinsville, were held Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Saint Henry's Catholic Church in Owasso, Oklahoma. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
