"August" Rismiller is the son of Wilhelm & Wilhelmine (Teigeler) Rismiller. August's Baptism Certificate dated 1/13/1850 lists his date of birth as 12/30/1849. He along with his parents and 3 siblings, Henry, Wilhelm & Justina, immigrated to America arriving in New York, NY from Bremen, Germany, on the Ship Weser June 6, 1868. Soon after arriving in America they changed the spelling of their last name from Rismoller to Rismiller. They settled in the Darke County, Ohio area. He married Caroline Kruckeberg December 25, 1873 in Greenville, Ohio. They had 9 children, August, Frederick, Christian, Caroline, Herman, John, Sophia, Bertha and Adolph.
