28 Jan 1942 – 9 May 2013
Maureen Loughran Ryan died Thursday, the 9th of May, at her home in Saint Augustine.
Born in 1942 in Boston Massachusetts, Maureen came from a large Italian/Irish working class family.
She was trained as a secretary where she worked for many educators at MIT in Boston, the San Diego City School District and Soka University in Aliso Viejo, California.
In 2006, Maureen retired with her husband of 52 years, Paul, and moved to Saint Augustine where they very much enjoyed the pace of life and new friendships made here.
Maureen was a very spiritual person. She had a seeking spirit and wanted happiness and healing for herself and others. She loved art, music, books and films. Her love of films inspired the same love in both of her children -- her daughter so much so that she turned it into a career and became a film producer.
She is survived by her husband Paul and her daughter Alex. She will be buried at the Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Cemetery in Kennesaw, Georgia next to her son Christian Michael who passed away in 2001.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Jude's Children's Hospital, a charity she held dear to her heart. St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105
