Johnnie Leonard Hutchison, 63, of Elma, Wash., died Friday, May 20, 2005, at his home.

He was born on July 18, 1941, in Clovis, to Grant Harrison and Yadie Elnora Young Hutchison.

He was raised in Anchorage, Alaska and graduated from high school there. In 1961 he enlisted in the United States Navy. He served on the USS Constellation off the coast of Vietnam. He was a member of the Teamsters Union from 1965 until he retired in 2000. From 1965 to 1985 he had worked in Alaska for Weaver Brothers Construction as a truck driver. He continued truck driving after moving to Everett and also following the move to Elma. He married M. Kristiane Schenk on May 9, 1999, in Everett, Wash.

He was preceded in death by a son, Benjamin Hutchison; and three brothers, Archie, Ben and Ralph Hutchison.

He was interested in restoring his 1941 Buick and driving his 1957 Chevy Bel Aire.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Grant Hutchison of Arizona; a stepson, Terry; two brothers, Elmer and Fred Hutchison, both of Elma, Wash.; a sister, Marie Shaw of California; and four grandchildren.

Burial will be at Grady Cemetery.
