Mary was born on 21 January 1783 in Granville Township, Annapolis Co., N.S., the third child of John and Keziah (Hill) Bath. Her father was from Yorkshire, England, while her mother was the daughter of one of the earliest settlers from Massachusetts in Granville Township.
She married Israel Longley, the son of Israel and Anna (Kent) Longley, on 8 December 1804 in Granville, Annapolis Co., N.S. They had the following children: 1) Tamar Cecilia (born 1806), 2) John Bath (b. 1808), 3) Israel James (b. 1811), 4) Lucy Ann (b. 1813), 5) Samuel Charles (b. 1815), 6) Nehemiah Fletcher (b. 1817), 7) Robert Wesley (b. 1821) and 8) Mary Elizabeth (b. 1824).
Mary died on 24 September 1842 in Annapolis County, N.S.
