Ward Abell, 66, Akron, Ohio, formerly of West Salisbury, died Friday, Sept. 2, 1988, in the Akron General Medical Center. He was born Jan. 26, 1922 in West Salisbury, the son of the late Clark and Rosette (Kern) Abell. He was a veteran of World War II and a former Elklick Township Roads employee; member of the VFW. Surviving are one son, Ward Abell Jr., Akron, Ohio; three brothers: Emmet Abell, Deer Field, Ohio; Forrest Abell, Winter Park, Fla.; and William Abell, of California. Friends were received at the Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury, where services were conducted Tuesday at 10 am by the Rev. David E. Fetter. Interment, Salisbury Cemetery.
