Shirley May (Stahl) Heddens, 63 of 827 W. 13th Street, Rochester, Indiana and formerly of Argos, Indiana died May 9, 2013 at 8:58 a.m. at the Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester, Indiana. She had been in declining health for several months.

She was born on November 12, 1949 in Hammond, Indiana to Earl Edward Stahl and Patsy Violet (Sellers) Stahl. Shirley had lived in Argos since 1992 coming from Hammond, Indiana.

Shirley had lived with her longtime companion Stanley "Stan" Howard who preceded her on April 28, 2006.

She worked for Ristance/Dana Corp. in Argos, Indiana until the plant moved to Mishawaka, Indiana she then went to work at Standard Motor in Mishawaka. Shirley attended the Argos Bible Church, Argos, Indiana.

Shirley is survived by her Son – Robert Heddens of Michigan City, Indiana; Step-Children – LeAnn Commer and husband Rick of Michigan City, Indiana; Wade Heddens and wife Linda of Fort Wayne, Indiana; Scott Heddens of Indiana; Keith Heddens of Lake Station, Indiana. Four Grandchildren and
Brothers – Ronald Stahl and Sandy of Plymouth, Indiana; and James Stahl and Rhoda of Plymouth, Indiana
Sisters –Karen Obenchain and Ronald of Plymouth, Indiana; Sherri Ludwig of Plymouth, Indiana
She is preceded in death by her Parents, Brothers – Bob Stahl, Chuck Stahl, Harold Stahl, Larry Stahl and William Stahl; Sisters – Rosemary Boyd, Phyllis Townsel, Norma Stahl; and a Grandchild

Graveside Services will be at 1:00 pm Tuesday May 14, 2013 at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, Indiana with Chaplain Jason See of Woodlawn Hospital.
Burial will follow.
