Steven M. Shadle, 52, of Colona, died Sept. 23, 2004, at Jefferson County Hospital, Fairfield, Iowa.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Esterdahl Mortuary, 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to his family.

Steven was born Aug. 5, 1952, in Clinton, Iowa, to Everett and Carol Natalie Wells Shadle. He graduated from Bettendorf High School and attended St. Ambrose University. He married Linda Haller Nov. 6, 1976.

Steve was employed as a sales represenative for National Manufacturing for 25 years.
Steve was a board member of Rustic Acres Lake Estates Homeowners Association. He coached Bettendorf Youth baseball in the 80s. Steve was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan. He enjoyed muskie fishing and any time spent at his second home in the Northwoods of Wisconsin.

Steve had the gift of gab and will be sadly missed by his wife, family friends and beloved basset hound Winnie.

Survivors include his wife, Linda; son, Steven C. Shadle, Danville, Ill.; granddaughter, Brianna Shadle, Casper, Wyo.; mother, Carol Natalie Shadle, Moline; sisters, Lynne Shadle, Moline, Carolee Hagen, Highlands Ranch, Colo.; a niece, Tobie; and a nephew, Blaine.

He was preceded in death by his father, Everett, April 5, 1995.
