Graveside services celebrating the life of James A. "Buddy" Simons will be held at11:00 a.m., Friday, May, 2013, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Pineville with Reverend Steve McAlister officiating, under the direction of Hixson Brothers.

Mr. Simons, 83, of Pineville, passed from this life on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at his residence. Buddy proudly served our country in the United States Air Force and retired after 20 years of service as a Technical Sergeant. He was a 50 year member of the Boyce Masonic Lodge #247 F & AM and was the owner and operator of Alpine Air Conditioning Company.

Buddy enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a devoted and loving, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather that will be deeply missed by those that knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard Leon and Mary Alice Clark Simons; a son, Mark Allen Simons a daughter, Sharon Inez Simons; brothers, Willard L. Simons and Robert H. Simons and sisters, Mary Alice White and Rita Nell Poelker.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 40 years, Janette Payne Simons; a daughter, Mary Kathryn Curran; sister, Grace Ducrest; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
