Born August 15, 1942 in Granite City, Illinois the son of the late Naomi (nee Johnisee) and Paul Andrew Welch.
He is survived by his wife Judy (nee Beckham) Welch, his daughters Dawn Renee Winkler and her husband Randy of Ste. Genevieve and Rhonda Michelle McKinney of Ste. Genevieve, brothers Robert Leroy Welch and wife Johnna of Point Lookout, Missouri, David Ivan Welch and wife Christl of Annadale, Virginia and Phillip Dennis Welch of Park Hills, Missouri, a sister Barbara Lynn Welch of Park Hills, grandchildren David Lee Edwards, Jennifer Rachelle Edwards, Dawn Nichole Glass, Samantha LaRee Glass and McKenzie Ruth Glass and his godson Michael Harold Beckham of Ste. Genevieve.
He retired from the College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout as a HVAC Instructor in 2006. Prior to that he worked at Cole Tire Company in Crystal City, Missouri for 25 years. Don cherished his family above all else, he enjoyed watching NASCAR races, hunting, fishing, gardening, making items for the home and his family and was always available to assist others with any task.
