Robertt George Allen, 58, of Winamac died at his residence Sunday, April 17. Born Feb. 15, 1947, he was the son of Clarence Allen and Helen M. (Shearer)(Allen) Kopkey. On Oct. 20, 1990, he was married to Kimberly A. Miars in Winamac, she survives.
Bob was a veteran serving in the Army during the Vietnam Era. He was employed as a carpenter. He was a member of Winamac VFW Post 1728 and a former member of Bass Masters Club and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He owned and operated his own construction company for many years, he also enjoyed farming and raising livestock.
Along with his wife, Kimberly, survivors include his father Clarnece F. Allen: two sisters; Kathy (Richard) Stoll, and Deb (Church) Peterson; two brothers; Larry (Betty) Allen and Fred (Jane) Allen, all of Winamac. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Bob was proceeded in death by his mother, Helen.
Graveside services were held on April 19, 2005, with Bert Woolson officiating, burial took place in St. Peter Catholic Cemtery in Winamac. Frain Mortuary, Winamac, was in charge of arrangements. The VFW and the American legion conducted military graveside services. Memorials may be given to the Pulaski County Hospice.
