She married Samuel H Morgan on 14 Feb 1909. Her sister Rosa Myrtle Watson married Samuel's brother Alfred Thomas Morgan.
Elizabeth and Sam had 6 children: James Samuel (1909-2001), Mattie Josephine (1910-1988), Dorothy Clark (1912-1915), Charles Thomas (1914-1980), Mary Elizabeth (1920-1983), and Arthur Leon (1925-2016).

"Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Morgan, 86, of 906 Quintard Ave, Anniston, died Saturday at a local nursing home after a short illness.
Funeral services were scheduled today at 1 p.m. at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with the Rev. Woodfin K. Grove officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs L.M. Owen and Mrs. Mary DeBord, both of Anniston; three sons, A.L. Morgan and James D Morgan both of Montgomery, and Charles T. Morgan of Corpus Christi, Texas,; 16 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Luther Owen, Clark Owen, John Morgan, Art Morgan, William Whiteside and Jack Whiteside.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County and a member of First United Methodist Church".
