"PATRICK HIGGINS LONG SICK, DEAD
Patrick Joseph Higgins, a resident of this county most of his life, died at his home .4 miles northeast of town Monday morning at 9 o’clock. He had been in poor health for several years and seriously ill for the past three weeks, suffering from complications.
"The deceased, a son of John and Mary (O’Neil) Higgins, was born in Ohio, January 22, 1858.
"Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. John G. Reidelbach, of Winamac, and Jennie, with whom he lived.
"Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at St. Peter’s church in charge of Rev. J. J. Becker and burial was made in St. Peter’s cemetery west of town."
