Earl S. Gerzeski

Mr. Gerzeski age 79 years, passed away Friday, April 19, 2013 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born on April 26, 1933 in Hamtramak, Michigan to the late Sethroe & Anne (Paluck) Gerzeski. He grew up and lived in Pinconning and ran the family farm until entering the service in the United States Army from 1953-1955. He married Esther Bell on May 10, 1975. She survives him. He retired from Saginaw Steering Gear in 1993 after 39 years of service. Earl enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, farming, camping and riding his motorcycle.
Surviving besides his wife Esther of 38 years are his three daughters; Lori Gerzeski, Nancy Gerzeski, and Roxanne (Sam) Boilore, two grandsons Jason Gerzeski, and Seth Boilore, three brothers and sister in laws, Robert (Liz), Dick (Jean), and Ralph (JoAnn), many nieces and nephews, his cousin Jerry (Beverly) Gerzeski, their children, Sarah Schwerin and her daughters, Kaye (Pete) Zurek, Kathy (Randy) O'Laughlin and Jim (Judy) Gerzeski. He was predeceased by his uncles; Victor (Inez, Ziggy, and Harry, his aunts Sally (Bill) Beskin, Geneve (Joe) Kucera, Vera (Ben) Dortinski, and his first wife Norene (Bain) Gerzeski.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 11 am from the Zion Lutheran Church of Auburn with Pastors Michael Buchhorn and Seth Hemme presiding with inurnment in Fraser Township Cemetery with military funeral honors. Friends may call at the church from 10 am until time of service. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Earl's nurses; Devica, Julia and Toni for the compassionate care Earl and his family received. In lieu of flowers those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Covenant VNA and Hospice.
