Lawrence Robb/Robe - the second name after the birth name of his paternal grandmother - his mother being Catholic - was baptised first in Notre-Dame de Montreal 12 Oct 1887, and again in Chalmer's Presbyterian (along with his brothers and sisters) on 13 April 1906. He was an artist by trade, and was one of the artists to paint for the Frosst company calendars. He painted several historical paintings, which can be found at Library and Archives Canada: There is at least one more which was presented to Queen Elizabeth when she visited Ottawa. She donated it to the gallery, but which one, I don't recall. It was of soldiers marching through a town. It has been claimed that Lawrence 1) designed the flag of Montreal - a claim I have yet to substantiate, and 2) Was co-creator of Bonhomme de Neiges - the Quebec Winter Carnival mascot. I have yet to find proof of that as well.

He met and married his wife, Rosa Celine SAISON in France during WWI.
