His father, Flemon, died very young and his mother, Mary, married Rufus Savage Rush 1916 in Barren Co., KY. They moved to Henderson, Chester Co., TN. Rufus S. Rush, stayed in Henderson and is buried Chester Co. Memory Gardens there. Stewart's half brother, G. W. Rush, still lives in Henderson, TN. and has been a great source of info regarding his brother, Stewart, and his parents. Stewart lived near the Foster Family Cemetery at Coral Hill Rd. and Franks Mill Rd.
