"Jess B. Sayre, 84, died April 19. He was born in Parkersburg, W. Va., and lived 40 years in Akron. He was a member of Cottage Grove Road Church of God, and was retired from Akron University. Mr. Sayre is survived by wife, Viola; daughters, Virginia Riffle of Akron, Betty Horner of Greensburg; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. Services will be Wednesday, 11 a.m., at the Billow Lakes Chapel, 472 W. Turkey foot Lake Rd. (Route 619), with Rev. Betty Lowe officiating. Interment Greensburg Cemetery. Friends may call the funeral home Tuesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Condolences may be sent to Mrs. Sayre."
