"Clifford O. Taylor, 78, of Firestone Park, formerly of Green Township, died Feb. 4. Born in Clay, W. Va., he had lived in the Akron area 59 years. He was a member of South Akron Church of Christ and Masonic Lodge 83, and the first Green Township Volunteer Fire Department. He worked at the Ohio Mechanical Handling Co. and Burger Iron Co., and retired from Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. after 35 years service. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Betty; daughters and sons-in-law, Alice Jean and Ronald Younkin of Akron... sons and daughters-in-law... brothers, Brooks and Alfred Taylor, both of Akron; sister, Mildred Spradlin of Baltimore, Md.; aunt, Alyce Hogan of Glendale, Calif.; nieces... nephew... cousin, Genelda Damms of Wellsburg, W. Va.; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Calling hours Tuesday, 2 to 9 p.m., at Schermesser Funeral Home, 1446 S. Main St. Masonic service 6;30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral services Wednesday, 1 p.m., at South Akron Church of Christ, 1828 Marigold Ave., where friends may also call one hour prior to services. Pastor Don Hodges and Dr. Charles F. Billington will officiate. Interment at Greensburg Cemetery."
