He was born on June 17, 1931 in Cheraw, SC. He was formerly employed in construction as a site superintendent.
In addition to his parents, Charlie Worth Harper, Sr. and Nellie Elizabeth Grant Harper; he was preceded in death by two sisters, his wife, Carlee Miller Harper, and his son, Mitchell Harper.
C.W. is survived by two sons, Eric Harper and wife, Melanie, of Lumberton, and Glen Harper, of Lumberton; two daughters, Diane Liles and husband, Sam, of Lumberton, and Annette West and husband, Murray, of Lumberton; five grandchildren, David West, Amy West, Nicholas Liles, Bradley Harper, and Daniel Harper; and two great-grandchildren, Hunter West and Harper West.
The memorial services will be held Zion Hill Baptist Church in Lumberton, NC. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Dillon, SC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Odum Baptist Home for Children, 200 N. Odum Street, Pembroke, NC 28372.
