Whitney— Died at his home, 10 North Eighth street. April 19th, Morris Whitney, aged 71 years. He is survived by his widow and three daughters Mrs. George Cole and Miss June Whitney of Rochester and Miss Bessie Whitney Fulton, and a son, Jess Whitney of Rochester. Interment in Mt Adnah. The deceased was born in Augusta 1860 the son of Jared Whitney of that city. He moved here as a young man and engaged in farming.

P.S. He was tending to the farm in 1880 for his mother when his father passed away and did so up till 1910. After his mother passed in 1906 he was working as Laborer in 1915 it shows. Possibly the farm was flooded out as while he was living in Volney, New York there was a devastating storm that furiously slammed the Great Lakes in 1913 so he decided to sell or leave. His wife Rose was working at home as portrait artist and his siblings Bessie and Junie were working as Milliners. He was retired by 1920 and his sister Bessie was living with him in 1930.

His siblings Cora May and Fred Jared are twins

Whitney, M. S., son of the late Jared Whitney of Kirkland, Oneida county, was born at that place, June 20, 1859. A younger son, Fred, remains at Kirkland with the widowed mother, Mary F. (Miller) Whitney, and the daughter, Cora M. Miller, resides in Augusta, being now twenty-three years of age. In 1880 Morris married Rose L. Hastings of Fulton, and in 1881 purchased a farm at Volney Centre near Bristol Hill, one of the pleasantest localities in town. Their children are Rubie and Junie, aged respectively thirteen and eleven, and Jessie and Bessie, twins, born in 1886.
