"GREENSBURG - Jennings A. Turner, 88, died April 14 at St. Luke's Lutheran Home. He was born in Chester, S.C., and was a Green Twp. resident most of his life. Mr. Turner was employed for 45 years with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., retiring in 1962. He was a member of the Goodyear Foreman's Club, the Goodyear Hunting and Fishing Club, the American Legion Post No. 436, and was an Army veteran of World War I. Preceded in death in 1968 by his wife, Lillian; he is survived by sons, J. C. Turner of Roseburg, Oreg., Donald E. of Findlay, Richard A. of Uniontown; daughter, Kathleen Sayre of Greensburg; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Roy Turner of Florence, S.C.; and sister, Mattie Cox of Louisville, Ky. Funeral services Thursday, 1 1 a.m., at the Hopkins UNIONTOWN Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale St., 1 block northwest of the square of Rt. 619 and Cleveland Ave, Rev. Glenn Rogers officiating. Burial Greensburg Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home, 6 to 9 p.m., Wednesday."
