"Dorsa J. Sayre, 83, of 8240 Burkey rd., North Canton, died November 30 at Timken Mercy Hospital. He was born in Jackson County, W. Va. and lived in Akron 52 years. He retired from Firestone Plant 1 after 35 years service. He belonged to Firestone Local No. 7 and was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War I. He is survived by son, Harold R. Sayre of Greensburg; daughter, Mrs. Gladys (Richard) Cunningham of Canton, O.; brother, Herman Sayre of Millersport, O.; sister, Mrs. Ruth Parsons of Gallipolis, O.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Schermesser Funeral Home, with Rev. Howard D. Powell officiating. Interment Greensburg Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m."
