Josephine Oetgen, 85, Macomb, died at 5 p.m., Friday, Dec. 15, 2006, at Heartland Health Care Center, Macomb.

She was born Dec. 28, 1920, in Hope, Ark., the daughter of Joseph and Nora (Westerhold) Gamage. She first married Raymond Whitaker on June 3, 1939. He preceded her in death. She then married Lloyd Oetgen on Nov. 18, 1962. He preceded her in death Nov. 2, 1990.

She is survived by two daughters, Sally JoAnne (Mike) Powell, and Linda Sue (Terry) Standard, both of Macomb; four grandchildren, Mitch Standard, Susan El Idrissi, Toby Powell, and Cindy Forman; six great-grandchildren, Josh and Elisabeth Standard, Samir, Sabrine, Saleem El Idrissi and Wade Forman.

In addition to her husbands and her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, George Gamage and one sister, Leona Gamage.

She worked at Lloyd's Bakery in Macomb for several years.

Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 18, 2006, at Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home, Macomb, with Pastor Michael Burdick officiating.

Burial was in Oetgen Cemetery, Beardstown.

Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
