Son of J and Euphenie.
Originally buried in Beulah Cemetery that was located east of Gravel Pit Road in Jefferson Township, Preble County, Ohio. The land the cemetery was on was sold and the burials relocated to Springlawn Cemetery. The Beulah Cemetery was associated with the Beulah Presbyterian Church which exsisted in the early 1800's.

Joseph's parents are James ( c1825 IN) and Euphemia Wasson (c 1822 IN) Thomas, who married 4 Oct 1844 in Wayne County, Indiana. Euphemia /"Fame" was the daughter of Nathaniel McCoy (1783-1863) and Jane/ Jennett Long (1780-1855) Wasson who lived in East Fork, Wayne County, Indiana. In the 1850 Federal Census, they lived next door to Stephen (c 1798) and Margaret (c 1802) Thomas, the parents of James. All of James and Euphemia's children were born in Wayne County, Indiana. They were 1) John Thomas (16 Apr 1849-25 Jan 1884), 2)Margaret/Maggie Thomas (26 May 1851-1935), 3) Joseph A. Thomas ( 1853-1854), 4) Scott Thomas, 5) Lincoln Thomas (c 1860), 6) Zura Thomas, and 7) Martha Thomas (28 Nov 1864-1935/7). Of these children, Scott, Lincoln, and Zura never married. My thanks to Harriett Limper, author of "Yesterday, Today and Tomorow, a History of Some of the Descendants of Joseph Wasson (1744-1822) and Some Allied LInes "compiled 1988 Baton Rouge, Lousiana, now a Google book.
