ELEANOR ST. PETERS WHITAKER, 82, of Memphis, died of heart failure Thursday at Baptist Memorial Hospital East. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Park. Memorial Park Funeral Home has charge. She was a charter member of Broadmoor Baptist Church. Mrs. Whitaker, the widow of Joe W. Whitaker, leaves two daughters, Dottie Morgan of Bartlett and Carole McCaig of Memphis, and two grandsons. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Alzheimer's Adult Day Care Inc. The marriage of Miss Eleanor St. Peters. to Mr. Joe Whitaker will be solemnized at 9 o'clock next Sunday night at the Seventh Street Baptist Church with the Rev. L.B. Cobb officiating. The bride will wear blue velvet with matching accessories and her bouquet will be of bride's roses. She will be attended by Miss Gladys Woods as maid of honor. Miss Woods will wear brown crepe and a shoulder bouquet of pink rosebuds. Mr. Robert Miller will serve as best man. Mrs. Claude Mason will play the wedding music and Mrs. J.B. McCammon will sing "I Love You Truly" and Miss Louise Johnsey "At Dawning." Following the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. W.B.Whitaker, the bridegroom's parents, will entertain with a reception in their home, 658 Keel. Assisting the couple in receiving will be the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.L. St. Peters, and Mr. and Mrs. F.R. St. Peters, Mr. and Mrs. W.K. Hill, Miss Gladys Woods and Mr. Robert Miller.
