Her Husband, Samuel R. Hubbert, 81, of San Angelo, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2003. He was born Oct. 19, 1921, in Brownwood, Texas, to parents William 'Willie' Homer Hubbert 1869–1934 and Irma B 'Essie' Fortson 1895–1992.

Sam served his country during World War II as a Marine Corp Sergeant in the United States Marines.

Her Husband Samuel was preceded in death by his wife, Lorena Schlegel, who died September 26, 1995, in San Angelo, Texas, of a brain cancer. Samuel died in his home in San Angelo, apparently from a slip in the shower.

Samuel worked and retired from Texas New Mexico Oil Pipeline Company as a Diesel Pump Mechanic. He serviced pipeline pumps in the Permian Base (Texas), mostly in Crane County. Texas.

Lorena and Sam owned and operated a restaurant in Crane, Texas, named 'Boots and Sirloin'. The restaurant was enlarged in the mid 1970's, and the name was changed to the Sirloin House restaurant.

Both Sam and Lorena had a Summer House on Lake Nasworthy, in San Angelo, TX. After they both retired, they built their new home on Lake Nasworthy, and enjoyed their retirement.
