He married the love of his life, Mildred Starr on Apr. 7, 1942.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and a self-employed truck driver most of his life. He was a steadfast Christian and dedicated member of the World Wide Church of God and the Noble County Senior Cititzens, from which he received a Certificate of Recognition from President Bush in 1992.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred May (Starr) Kemp, in 1987; one brother, Robert Kemp in 1997, and three sisters, Octavia (Kemp) Wildes in 1961, Ellen (Kemp) Tolbert in 1997 and Mary Louise (Kemp) McEndree in 1998.
His memory will be cherished by his sister-in-law, Carrie Kemp; 17 nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
He and Mildred didn't have any children. So sad, they would have been wonderful parents.
