Born in 1951 in Waco, Texas to Harold George Campbell Jr. and Pearl Mary Campbell, Richard Robert Campbell was, as explained by my parents, a happy child with an adventurous spirit, who added significant joy to the family. He died unexpectedly in 1952 as a result of an accidental drowning. Richard has been in our thoughts and prayers since his death and has never been forgotten. The family often wonders what he would have become and how he would have changed the world. It was a tragic loss of a young life, that had a profound impact. Richard was buried in June 1952 in Holy Cross Cemetery in Santa Cruz, California but with the recent passing of his father (2005) and his mother Pearl (2013), some of the dirt from his grave was relocated to Sylvan Cemetery in Citrus Heights, California and laid to rest with his parents. We thought it a fitting tribute to the memory of our brother and our parents.
