Tanya Lee Acevedo, 34, of Paris, passed from this life unexpectedly on Friday, March 28, 2013, at Childress Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2, in the chapel of Starrett Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Turnipseed officiating. Interment will follow in Meadowbrook Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
Tanya was born Oct. 27, 1978, in Denton, a daughter of Leonel and Nona Kite Acevedo. She attended Honey Grove High School and was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Tanya is survived by four children, Kendall Redwine and Raylee Keshawn Redwine and Niah Hickson and Mija Hickson; her mother, Nona Kite; her father, Leonel Acevedo; two brothers, Leonal Acevedo Jr., and wife, Erika, and Joe William Acevedo and wife; a sister, Amy Belk and husband, Ellis; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
