Billy W. Vaughan, 69, a retired carpenter, died Sunday, May 24, 1998, at a Fort Worth hospital.

Graveside service: 3 p.m. Wednesday in Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.

Billy W. Vaughan was born July 23, 1928, in High. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked as a carpenter most of his life and retired in 1988. He was also an avid fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer Sr. and Viola Vaughan; brother, Floyd Vaughan; and sister, Cathy Davis.

Survivors: Wife of 12 years, Celvy Vaughan of Fort Worth; stepdaughter, Sallie Beauleau of California; brother, Homer Vaughan Jr. of Fort Worth; sister, Evelyn Robertson of Fort Worth; stepgranddaughter, Amanda Beauleau of California; and numerous nieces and nephews.
