Sylvester R. Campbell,63, of Wilroads Gardens, died Dec.4,1989 at Humana Hospital, Dodge City,Ks. Born Aug. 22,1926 at Nekoma, Ks his family moved to Wilroads Gardens in 1935. He graduated from Dodge City High School and joined the U.S.Navy in 1944. He married Marion Robins May 20, 1950 in Cimarron and the couple moved to Wilroads Gardens. He worked at the Pepsi Cola Bottling Co. from 1953 to 1972 and was a custom farmer after his retirement. He was a member of the Wilroads Gardens Christian Church and the Moose Lodge, Dodge City. Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons: Danny and John both of Garden City, KS; two daughters: Peggy Sue Campbell of the home and Connie Green,St. Louis, Mo.; a brother, Leonard of Denver, Co.; four sisters: Thelma Agnew, Weskan, Glenna Anderson and Norma Harris both of Wilroads Gardens and Colene Blew, Lewis, KS. and eight grandchildren. Funeral was held at the Wilroads Gardens Christian CHurch and burial followed at Greencrest Memorial Gardens.
