KANAWHA — Clarence J. Vander Ploeg, 79, of Kanawha, died Tuesday (Sept. 28, 2004) at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Kanawha Christian Reformed Church in Kanawha with Pastor Chuck Walton officiating. Burial will be in Amsterdam Township Cemetery near Kanawha. The Kanawha American Legion Severson Post No. 77 will be in charge of graveside military services. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ewing Dugger Funeral Home, 118 E.
