For over 50 years, Donn DiBiasio was a stanch defender of the Second Amendment. He served on the board of directors for the National Rifle Association from 1993 until his death. He was a 50-year volunteer lobbyist on 2nd amendment related issues at the Rhode Island General Assembly. He was an avid sportsman, hunter, fisherman, and recreational & competitive shooter. He was known nationally as a court expert on firearms.
He was on the boards of the Rhode Island State Rifle and Revolver Association, the Providence Firearms Dealers Association, the Review Board of Rhode Island Pre-Purchase Firearms Safety Training Review, the Gun Owners Political Action Committee, the Federal Blues Rhode Island Militia, and the Providence Maritime Heritage Committee.
He was the owner and operator of D&B Guns and of D&B Antenna and Electronics in Providence, Rhode Island. He taught Electronics at Davies Vocational School and at Woonsocket Voc-Tech School.
He was the son of James Vincenzo DiBIASIO and Bernice BARLOW. He was survived by his wife, four sons, a brother, and two sisters. He was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Day, Ph.D.
A Mass of Christian Burial was said at St. Philip Roman Catholic Church, in Greenville, Rhode Island.
