From the Tyler Morning Telegraph dated April 25, 1985 --- MRS. BARTON SERVICES TUESDAY

Services for Mrs. Ruth Barton,85, Brownsboro, relative of Tyler residents, are set for 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Faith Baptist Church in Brownsboro with the Rev. Bill Watson and the Rev. Danny Buster officiating.

Burial will be in the Jennings Mountain Cemetery in Brownsboro under the direction of Burks-Walker-Tippit Funeral Home of Tyler.

Mrs. Barton died early today in a Tyler Nursing Home after a long illness.

Mrs. Barton was born March 26, 1900, in Edom.

She lived in Brownsboro 80, years and was a housewife. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church, where she served as pianist 40 years. Mrs Barton was a member of the Eastern Star where she served as organist.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. George Ellis of Chandler and Mrs. Rudolph Glaze of Tyler; two brothers, Ralph Stuart of Brownsboro and Joe B. Stuart of Garland; four sisters, Elsie Stuart of Brownsboro, Gladys Stuart of Brownsboro, Susie Tompkins of Tyler and Maude Foster of San Diego, Calif. four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Joe Fitzgerald, Winston Reagan, Charlie Fields Jr., Arion Boles, Emmerson Chapman and John W. Barton.
