Charles was born in Fillmore to James B & Annie Matlock, 3rd of 4 children. He and younger brother Frank were very close, and also loved their sister Ada, visiting often. Charles wed Edna Viola Davison in 1925 and raised 2 lovely girls. He was very gifted mechanically and moved to Kansas City when he became employed as an aircraft mechanic for TWA, and retired from there. He also loved his entire family, and there were many gatherings, picnics, holidays or any reason to gather together and visit.There was always laughter in their home. Charles passed away two months after his brother Frank died from cancer. All four siblings are buried in Fillmore cemetery, where their spouses, and their parents are interred.
