Anna was born in Hartford, Connecticut and had three sisters - Mary Magdalene, Kate, and Agnes. She also had a brother who died in childhood. Their last name was so hard to spell that much of the time they were known as "Moxie" or "Morris." She lived most of her life in Glastonbury, Connecticut, was a devout Catholic, an avid pinochle player and a talented crafter. She could also grow anything indoors or out.

Anna M. Kocum, 83, of 44 Prospect St., Glastonbury, widow of John A. Kocum, died Saturday (Jan. 7) at Hartford Hospital. Born in Poquonock, she had lived in Glastonbury for over 70 years.

She was a member of St.Paul's Church, Glastonbury, and a member of the League of Sacred Heart.

She was survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Richard Foote of Glastonbury; three grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Foote Wolf of Glastonbury, Margaret Morell in Pennsylvania, and Jonathan Foote in Colorado.
