Born in Troy, NY and grew up in Haddon Hgts, NJ. Graduated from Glassboro State College (Rowan Univ.) receiving her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Library Sciences and Audio-Visual Studies. She taught in various public school districts including LCCRHSD #1. She was married to Joseph Michael Chudomelka and they had three children. Lorraine taught for many years and became a Librarian and subsequently retired from Overbrook Senior High School. After her retirement she worked as Staff Librarian for 5 years at the Ancora Psychiatric Hospital. She is survived by her dear friend and companion, Richard Denber; also her three children Kathleen Birkel, Victoria A. Ballard and Stephen Chudomelka; 7 grandchildren, Jamie Ballard, John, Patrick, Elizabeth and Daniel Birkel, Rochelle and Stephanie Chudomelka; three great grandchildren, Victoria Lorraine Ballard, Scott Gage and Joshua Birkel. Known to those who loved and will miss her as 'Granny', 'Aunt Foo-Foo' and 'Wheels'. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday morning 10:30am from the KNIGHT FUNERAL HOME, 14 Rich Ave., Berlin where the family will receive family and friends after 9:45am. It has been requested by the family, 'No flowers please.' Interment at the convenience of the family.
