Shawnee resident Edna Ida Abbott, 93, died Saturday, Feb. 5, in Shawnee.
She was born Jan. 6, 1912, near Verden and grew up on a farm north of Verden.
She was married June 1, 1947. to Charlie Abbott. They moved to Shawnee in 1948.
Abbott was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church of Shawnee. She was proceded in death by her husband of 48 years, parents and siblings, Fred, Ernestine, Albert and Ada Mae.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Martin and Loetta Abbott of Shawnee and Marvin and Phyllis Abbott of Oklahoma City; six greandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-greanchildren. She also is survived by many other relatives and friends.
Service will be 10 a.m. today at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Shawnee with the Rev. Lewis Walters officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church.
