Daughter of the late Joseph William Hollowell and Ethel Kennedy, she knew Mary Hollowell Foster as her mother. She was a 1951 graduate of Aurora High School. She was a member of Edwards Christian Church where her funeral was held on March 20, 2013, with Pastors David Linton, Bob Cayton, Ray Webb, Bill Roberts and Daylon Mooneyham officiating. She was survived by her husband, William "Burton" Gray (married on August 13, 1951); daughter, Judy G. Wooten; sons, Mark Gray (Diane) and Larry Gray (Sara); brothers, Elden Hollowell and Stanley Hollowell; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and an extended family of relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Hollowell and Harold F. Hollowell; and by two sisters, Marian Hollowell and Evelyn H. Harris.
