Nancy was first married to Henry Nowlan on April 12, 1855 in Bond county, Illinois.
They became the parents to three children; Nellie Leona (Nowlan) Fisk, John Henry Nowlan and Jennie Irene (Nowlan) Miller.
Nancy's husband passed away in 1871 and she married James Polk Lilligh on May 11, 1873 in Bond county, Illinois. He was the son of Jacob V. Lilligh and Catherine (Mahle) Lilligh.
Nancy and James became the parents to seven children; Minnie Priscilla (Lilligh) Harris, Grace A. (Lilligh) Wells, Maud Lilligh, Simon Lilligh, Flora Lilligh, Elma (Lilligh) Sensenbaugh and Nannie Mabel Lilligh.
Nancy passed away July 15, 1926 in Greenville, Bond county, Illinois and was laid to rest on July 18, 1926 in the Mulberry Grove Cemetery, in Mulberry Grove, in Bond county, Illinois.
