Gaynell Hart Abadie
ABADIE Gaynell Hart Abadie On Saturday March 16th, 2013 at 9 pm at River Regions Hospice House, our beloved mother, Gaynell Hart Abadie, 85 years of age, ascended into the arms of our Heavenly Father.

Born April 19th, 1927, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cyril J. Abadie, Sr., her parents, Richard A. Hart Sr. and Hilda Knoll Hart, her older brother, Richard A. Hart Jr., and her only son, Cyril J. Abadie, Jr.

She is survived by her loving daughters: Mary A. Broussard (Willie), Donna A. Earles (Billy) and Gaynell A. LeBlanc, as well as 5 granddaughters: Amanda Broussard, Lauren Earles Rogers (Branden), Daina Earles, Chelsee LeBlanc and Macey LeBlanc; a brother, Donald J. Hart (Carol-deceased), a sister, Hilda H. Neyrey (Bobby), as well as many nieces and nephews and all of those welcomed into her life due to the great capacity of her heart and her never-ending ability to give. She was the kindest person one could ever meet, always with a smile on her face and an ever-present sense of humor. Many a good time was spent in her kitchen consuming her wonderful meals and laughing until we could laugh no more.

Special thanks must go to Metairie Health Care Center for taking such good care of our Mother when we were no longer able to care for her at home. Another special thank you is extended to River Regions Hospice House for keeping Mom, "Comfy Cozy" as she would tell us, throughout her stay there. Thanks for taking such vigilant, excellent care of Mom and for making our family feel welcomed, at peace and reassured in the knowledge that our mother was receiving the very best of care. Thank God for such wonderful healthcare professionals at both facilities. Each one of you was and is a special blessing!

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation and Funeral Mass at Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, New Orleans, LA. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 21, 2013 between the hours of 6:30 pm. and 8:30 pm. and on Friday, March 22, 2013 between the hours of 9:00 am. and 11:00 am followed by Mass in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am.
Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
