Brendon A. "Benny" Grover, 71, of Red Hook, NY, died Sunday, April 25, 2004, at the Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany, NY.

Benny was a self-employed crane operator in the logging industry. He and his family moved to Red Hook 24 years ago from Pittsburg, New Hampshire.

A veteran of the US Army, he was a long time member of the American Legion, and a member of the Free & Accepted Masons, having joined that group in Nashua, NH in 1969.

Born in Columbia, NH on December 11, 1932, he was the son of the late Glen and Ruby (Clark) Grover. On June 14, 1952 in Canaan, VT, he married Joan (Day) Grover. Mrs. Grover survives him at home.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his five children; Veronica Grover of Loudon, NH, Richard, William, and Peter Grover of Red Hook, and Cathy Chapple of Dover, NH, three brothers; Berkley Grover of Columbia, NH, Bruce Grover of Colebrook, NH, and Barry Grover of W. Stewartstown, NH, 10 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Two brothers, Bradley & Brett Grover, predeceased him.

Visitation will be private.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, Apr. 28th, at Burnett & White Funeral Homes, 7461 S. Broadway, Red Hook. The Reverend Fred C. Cartier will officiate. Interment will be in Red Church Cemetery, Tivoli.

Memorial donations may be made in Benny's memory to a veteran´s organization of your choice.
