Rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. today at St. John's Catholic Church for Albert N. Cruz .Jr.. 30. of 3409 Mission Arch Drive, who was pronounced dead Friday. Mass is scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday at the church. A Franciscan priest from the church will officiate. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery. Special music will be "Un Dia a La Vez." performed by the church choir. The family will receive friends and relatives at 3409 Mission Arch Drive. Arrangements are being handled by Ballard Funeral Home.
Mr. Cruz was born on July 12, 1955, in Roswell, to Mr. and Mrs. Albert C. Cruz Sr., both of Roswell. He was married Jan. 28, 1977, to Olivia Melendez. who survives him. A lifetime resident of Roswell, Cruz was owner/operator of Cruz TV and Appliance.
Survivors include two daughters, Vanessa Marie Cruz and Amanda Yvette Cruz, both of Roswell: one brother, Faust Cruz of Roswell; and four sisters. Carmen Cruz Young, Mary Lou Cruz and Helen Torres, all of Roswell. and Pauline Cruz of San Diego, Calif.
Pallbearers will be Pete Cruz, Andy Dominguez, Bill Glenn, Danny Melendez, Lawrence Melendez and Ralph Melendez. Honorary pallbearers will be Faust Cruz, Andrew Melendez, Johnny Melendez and Ricky Melendez.
