Former Jamestown Woman Dies at Folsom, W. Va., -- Funeral to be Held in Jamestown
Dr. Cornelia Crosby Albert died at her home at Folsom, W. Va., Oct. 11, 1908, after a brief illness of pneumonia. She left this city about 15 years ago, for Mannington, W. Va., where she was located several years in the practice of her profession. Later she went to Folsom, where her son was employed by the South Penn Oil company.
She leaves one son, Charles C. Albert, and three brothers, Henry B. Crosby of Shinglehouse, Pa.; Alonzo Crosby of Detroit, Mich., and Erastus Crosby of this city, and three sisters, Mrs. W. B. Webster of Binghamton, N. Y.; Mrs. W. W. Seymour of Kennedy, N. Y. and Mrs. Mabel C. Hegemon of Whitney Point, N. Y.
For a number of years she had been active in the work of the W. C. T. U. and had been for some time at the head of the county organisations. Private funeral services will be held at the home of E. Crosby, 140 Allen street, at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning.
Funeral: FUNERAL OF MRS. ALBERT
The funeral of Dr. Cornelia Crosby Albert was held privately from the home of her brother, Erastus Crosby, 140 Allen street, at 10 o'clock this morning, Rev. Dr. Jas. G. Townsend officiating. There was a large attendance of friends and relatives and the floral offerings were numerous. The bearers, all relatives, were Erastus Crosby, M. M. Crosby, Dr. Frank Hunt and Raymond Seymour. The burial was in the Levant cemetery.
Among those present from out of the city were the son of Mrs. Albert, Charles Albert of Folsom, W. Va.; Henry B. Crosby of Shinglehouse, Pa.; Mrs W. B. Webster of Binghamton and Mrs. W. W. Seymour of Kennedy.
