Services for Pamela Rabalais will be held at St. Mary Assumption Catholic Church on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. "Raj" officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery #2, Cottonport, under the direction of Escude Funeral Home, Cottonport.
Pamela Rabalais, age 41, of Cottonport, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2004 at 1 p.m. in her residence.
She was an employee of the Avoyelles Parish Sheriff's Office 911 Communications Center. She also was a member of the 1st Responders Team for the Town of Cottonport. Ms. Rabalais was an instructor/trainer for the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) for Homeland Security and the Avoyelles Parish Police Jury. She was instrumental in the organization of the local chapter in Avoyelles, as well as instructing nearby parishes in establishing their own teams.
Survivors include her sister, Beryl Fitzgerald of Cottonport; son, Jeremy Bordelon of Cottonport; daughter, Jennifer Bordelon of Cottonport; mother, Mary Ellen Dixon of Cottonport; father, Ronald Dixon of Cottonport; brother-in-law, Danny Fitzgerald; grandson, Kaden Bordelon of Cottonport; and nieces, Crystal, Ashley and Danielle Fitzgerald, all of Cottonport.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Sheila Marie Dixon.
Friends may call at Escude Funeral Home, Cottonport, on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2004 from 5 p.m. until time of services on Wednesday. There will be a rosary/wake service Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the funeral home.
