Ethel Horton Hale, 81, homemaker, died of heart disease Tuesday at Magnolia Regional Health Center. Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Coleman Funeral Home with burial in Holly Cemetery. She was a Baptist. Mrs. Hale leaves a daughter, Linda Sanders of Selmer, Tenn.; a son, Joe Horton of Sardis; two sisters, Mareen McCarter and Margaret Switzer, and a brother, Carl Gene Davis, all of Middleton, Tenn., and 11 grandchildren.

Ethel Davis married Dalton Falvey Horton on 23 Nov 1936 in Hardeman County, TN. They had the following children: Doshia Pearl, Joe Bedford, Sarah Ruth and Linda Ann.
Her second husband was Edward L. Hale. There were no children of the second marriage.
