Officer Peter Grignon was killed by a 17 year old. It was the end of his shift this was his last call of the day before going home to his wife. on March 23,2005. The Officer responded and was meet at the scene by a 16 and 17 year old. It is unclear of all the details at this time but the 17 year old took out a gun and shot the officer two times in the head and neck area. Neighbors say they heard the officer beg for his life screaming" Dont' Shoot, Don't shoot." He died around the 9 o clock hour at University of Louisville Hospital. The 17 year old then turned the gun on his self and died at the scene. Officer Peter Grignon was only on the force for two years. He had been married for only one year and had his whole life ahead of him. He was born in Brunswick NJ. He was a member of FOP # 614 and St Lutheran and Grace Community Church of the Nazarene. He is survived by his wife former Rebecca Studebaker;his parents Donald and Barbara Grignona brother Paul Grignon(Shannon) and in laws;Keith and Gloria Studebaker. He will be buried in Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville on Monday March 28th.
